Huawei has released its new Kirin 970 processor at the German IFA2017 conference on Sep 2. Kylin 970 is the world's first artificial intelligence processor with built-in neural network unit (NPU). It uses 10nm TSMC process and octa core design, 4 x Cotex-A73 2.4GHz + 4 x Cotex-A53 1.8GHz, matched with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU core (12 chips). The NPU computing power is up to 1.92TFP16 OPS. At the same time, it is built-in double IDP (support motion detecting and enhance under low light). Support LPDDR4X memory, UFS2.1 flash storage, HDR10, 4K@60 frame photography and LET Cat.18 specification.
