This morning, Google pushed the latest Android O Beta3 developer preview and announced the Android O version number is Android 8.0.
"About the phone" interface in Android O Beta3 settings shows Android O version number is 8.0.0,which is consistent with the previous rumors. And the latest Android formal edition system is the Android 7.1.2.
In Android O 8.0 system, Google focuses on optimizing the users' experience, enhance battery life, application startup time and the system security. This new system only added picture-in-picture function, keyword auto-completion, intelligent text selection, machine learning function TensorFlow Lite, long Press the App icon to bring up a few new features such as Notification Dots.
Android 8.0 O system also integrates the background mechanism of the intelligent restrictions. On the same hardware, Android O's application starts speed is twice as fast as Android Nougat 7.0.
Android O formal version will be released in Autumn of this year. Except for the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel, Pixels XL device of Google, Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8 +, Nokia 6 and LG's new flagship will also be upgraded to the Android O system platform.
