Huawei MediaPad X2 Hands-on Review

Though Huawei Mobile has brought us then Android Wear devices such as the Huawei WatchHuawei TalkBand B2, etc, the rumor compact version of the Huawei Ascend Mate7 – Huawei Mate 7 Compact has not appeared on the MWC 2015, while another new product which is cross-border both the tablet and the mobile – Huawei MediaPad X2 has debuted.

Huawei MediaPad X2 is a phone tablet, and is said to be the upgraded version of the Huawei MediaPad X1. So, what characteristics do this phablet have?
The appearance of the MediaPad X2 has a big difference of the MediaPad X1. This X2 uses a aviation metallic airframe in total, and matched with a ultra-narrow frame, and up to 80% screen proportion. Seeing from the front, it is just the larger version of the Huawei Ascend Mate7. Unfortunately, it is not equipped with the fingerprint identification module as the Mate 7 mobile.
In addition, the Huawei Honor X2 only has a 7.18mm thickness thin body, and weighs 239g, which is sure to be very thin and light among the 7 inch phone and tablets. However, it is still very difficult for one-hand holding.
As to the configurations, Huawei MediaPad X2 adopts its own developed 64 bit Kirin 930 octa core processor(4 core 2GHz + 4 core 1.5GHz), and Mali-T628GPU, and adopts the advanced HiFET process, has 2GB RAM+16GB ROM and 3GB RAM+32GB ROM two versions for you to choose. 7.0 inch screen with 1920x1200 pixels resolution and combined with the LTPS technology.
In camera, Huawei Honor X2 is equipped with 13MP back camera, with F2.2 aperture and support flash light, also support the pictures before focusing, breath screen snapshot, metering capability of separation and so on. It also has a 5MP front camera, and F2.2 aperture as well as 22nm wide angle.
Besides, the X2 also support dual Sim card dual standby, and support up to 300Mbps LTE Cat.6 network, and built in Smart PA audio chip and DTS surrounding sound. As to the standby time, the Huawei Honor X2 has a 5000mAh battery and support working for a whole day.
Either on the hardware specifications or the workmanship, the Huawei MediaPad X2 has a good perfprmance. And the official price of the 16GB silver standard version will be 1999 yuan, and the 32GB gold elite version will be 2499 yuan. Moreover, it will begin to make an appointment on 17, March, and officially listed sale on 6, April. People interested with the new Android device should not miss it.
